Our Villages

An introduction to the region

Babik, Taşmış, Belen (Mehrap), Örnek (Şimil) and Karakaya are five villages a few kilometres apart in the mountainous, fertile countryside of Malatya. Shared springs, connecting village roads, family ties and common traditions make them one region.

Each village has its own story, an old name, its own buildings and produce. The pages below introduce every village under the same headings, so you can see what they share and what sets them apart.
